Over 380 Enterprises Gather for “AI Transformation for a Brighter Future”
NINGBO, CN / ACCESS Newswire / September 11, 2026 / The 16th Smart City and Intelligent Economy Expo opened on September 11 at the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center. Held under the theme “AI Transformation for a Brighter Future,” this year’s expo spans more than 30,000 square meters across five exhibition halls, bringing together more than 380 enterprises and institutions and featuring over 20 supporting activities.

The Ningbo Municipal People’s Government, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, the China Electronics Industry Federation, China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom co-host the event.
Leading technology companies are showcasing their latest AI technologies and applications at this year’s expo. Huawei presents its latest-generation AI inference server equipped with the 950DT processor; Alibaba Cloud displays its five-layer full-stack architecture “chip-cloud-model-inference-application” for the agent era; Kingdee releases the Lingji AI-native platform; China Telecom exhibits the Stellar Super Agent (TeleAgent), China Mobile showcases the AI multi-model aggregation platform MoMA and 6G space-air-ground communication achievements, and China Unicom presents the Forbidden City digital twin platform and other integrated scenarios. Domestic GPUs from Xiwang, high-bandwidth memory from Liji Storage, RF filters from Xingyao Semiconductor, and other core chips in critical technology areas are on display. The National Manufacturing Digital Transformation Promotion Center premieres the AI-empowered direct-drive high-end industrial machine tool system developed by Academician Tan Jianrong’s team. Multiple academicians gather at the event.

The expo features, for the first time, a “Human-Machine Symbiosis” exhibition area, where nearly 10 leading enterprises showcase full-chain robot capabilities. Leading enterprises jointly create a physical “exploded view” of humanoid robot components, and over 30 robots demonstrate applications in commercial retail, public services, and other fields on site. The newly launched “Embodied Intelligence in Factories” exhibition area brings four real production lines into the venue, with Junpu Intelligence presenting the world’s first multi-robot collaborative battery management system precision assembly line.
The newly established Smart Product Experience Center brings together over 50 enterprises with nearly 200 consumer-grade smart products. The Qianwen AI glasses feature pioneering adjustable interpupillary distance technology; Lanke Electronics’ “glass translation screen” enables real-time mutual translation; Sanrente Technology presents a million-level all-terrain off-road vehicle. China Telecom creates the “Stellar Agent · Token Carnival”, allowing visitors without a programming background to design and develop web mini-games using AI on site. The newly launched “Model-Data Resonance” exhibition area features Yonyou’s agent matrix covering 63 fields, and Landzos presents the supOS four-step cloud solution. The two national AI application pilot bases in Ningbo and Hangzhou make their joint debut, with the Ningbo base premiering achievements such as the petrochemical industry large model.

The expo creates, for the first time, an AI OPC Innovation Market, bringing together nearly 20 entrepreneurial communities and over 30 small and micro teams; it gathers for the first time seven industrial park platforms, presenting “one park, one feature” achievements; it sets up for the first time a capital empowerment exhibition area, where financial institutions showcase investment projects. Competitions gather nearly 200 entrepreneurial projects for roadshows, and the digital economy talent fair releases nearly 1,000 job positions. The International Digital Intelligence Cooperation Exhibition area gathers enterprises from eight countries, including the United States and France, with 19 cities participating in group exhibitions.
After 16 years of dedication to the digital intelligence track, the Smart City and Intelligent Economy Expo has become an important platform for showcasing city image and promoting industrial cooperation. Ningbo has fully implemented the “AI+” initiative, with the city’s digital economy added value exceeding one trillion yuan for the first time in 2025, reaching 1,059.15 billion yuan and accounting for 56.6% of GDP.
The expo will run until September 13 and is open to the public free of charge.
