Baltimore, MD, Sept. 10, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — BC3 Technologies, a Baltimore-based medical technology company pioneering innovation in emergency medical response and hemorrhage control, today announced that its flagship SEAL Hemostatic Wound Spray is now available at 77 Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) locations across the United States and overseas, marking the company’s first expansion into brick-and-mortar retail.
SEAL OTC began rolling out to Exchange locations on August 10, 2026, and is currently available in-store at select locations across the U.S. and internationally. Among the U.S. locations carrying SEAL are major installations including Fort Bragg in North Carolina, Fort Campbell in Kentucky and Fort Hood in Texas, with overseas availability including Exchange locations in Okinawa, Japan.
The retail launch builds on BC3 Technologies’ relationship with the Exchange and its existing distribution relationship with Acme United Corporation (NYSE American: ACU), a leading distributor of SEAL to industrial, government, and educational customers. After BC3 introduced SEAL to the Exchange, the organizations worked together to leverage the existing Acme United/First Aid Only® distribution relationship to fulfill the retail rollout. Acme United’s leading first aid brands include First Aid Only® and My Medic®.
SEAL is the first and only FDA-cleared aerosolized hemostatic wound spray designed to help control severe external bleeding in seconds. BC3 developed the patented, easy-to-use “Shake-Spray-Pressure” application to make advanced bleeding-control technology accessible to both trained professionals and everyday citizens when rapid response matters.
“Making SEAL available through the Exchange is an important milestone for BC3 Technologies and one that is especially meaningful to our team,” said Wayne Grube, CEO and Co-Founder of BC3 Technologies. “Our technology has long supported military and first-responder communities, and this collaboration expands access directly to the Soldiers, Airmen, Guardians, and military families at locations across the U.S. and overseas. This is also our first step into brick-and-mortar retail, bringing us closer to our goal of making effective bleeding-control solutions more accessible wherever people live, work, serve, and travel.”
For BC3, the launch represents another step in the company’s continued expansion from professional emergency response into consumer emergency preparedness. SEAL is currently used by first responders, healthcare professionals, military personnel, industrial safety organizations, and consumers across the United States and around the world.
For more than 130 years, the Exchange has served Soldiers, Airmen, Guardians, and their families, providing valued goods and services while supporting military Quality-of-Life programs.
“Acme United is committed to bringing innovative safety and first aid solutions to customers where they need them,” said Janice Fowler, Vice President & General Manager, First Aid and Safety Division, Acme United Corporation. “Through our relationship with BC3 Technologies and the Exchange, we’re pleased to help expand access to SEAL and introduce this patented bleeding-control product to military shoppers and their families.”
The retail expansion follows a period of significant growth for BC3 Technologies and comes as National Preparedness Month highlights the importance of being equipped to respond when emergencies happen. During 2026, the company has continued to expand adoption of SEAL among consumers, public safety agencies, industrial safety organizations, military users, and international partners. The company’s expanding consumer business demonstrates rising interest in home emergency preparedness, outdoor recreation safety, and disaster readiness, including having effective bleeding-control tools readily available before professional medical care arrives.
Severe bleeding remains one of the leading causes of preventable death in trauma situations. BC3 Technologies developed SEAL to provide a simple, portable bleeding-control option that can be applied quickly when seconds matter. The product has received the EMS World Innovation Award and is eligible for purchase using Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).
