DEARBORN, Mich., Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The Henry Ford will welcome award-winning chef, restaurateur and author Tanya Holland to Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation on Tuesday, October. 6, for Beyond the Plate: Cooking and Conversation with Tanya Holland and Ann Delisi, a special evening exploring the connections between food, and community.
Joined by WDET’s Ann Delisi, Holland will share stories and perspectives from her celebrated career while exploring the role food plays in bringing people together and carrying traditions from one generation to the next. The evening will include an onstage conversation, live cooking demonstration and audience Q&A, with discussion touching on food access, childhood hunger, environmental stewardship, and inclusion and equity in the hospitality industry.
Tickets for the event are $21.25 for THF members and $25 for general public. They can be purchased by visiting THF.org/beyondtheplate.
The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour featuring complimentary hors d’oeuvres inspired by Holland’s cookbook, California Soul, along with live music and a cash bar. Holland and Delisi will take the stage at 7:15 p.m., followed by a book signing with Holland.
Beyond the Plate reflects the work of The Henry Ford’s Edible Education initiatives, which encourage people to think more deeply about where food comes from, the systems and people behind it, and the role food plays in our lives and communities.
