METAIRIE, LA, UNITED STATES, September 10, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Argent LNG, LLC today announced the submission of draft Resource Reports 11 and 13 to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), completing the full suite of draft Resource Reports required for its proposed 25 million tonne per annum (MTPA) LNG export terminal at Port Fourchon, Louisiana. The submission positions the project to advance toward final filing, followed by FERC’s formal environmental review and the issuance of a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS), the next critical regulatory milestone on the path to a FERC Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity.
Resource Reports 11 and 13 are among the most technically demanding and consequential submissions in the entire FERC pre-filing process. Uniquely, they are exclusively required for new LNG facilities, they are not required for any other category of natural gas project that comes before FERC.

Resource Report 11: Reliability and Safety
Resource Report 11 addresses the potential hazards to the public from failure of facility components resulting from accidents or natural catastrophes, and demonstrates how the design of the Argent LNG terminal has been engineered to reduce and manage those potential hazards to the highest federal safety standard.

Public Protection Measures — A comprehensive description of the measures proposed to protect the public from failure of the proposed LNG facility components.

Detailed Plot Plan and Facility Layout — A comprehensive plot plan showing the location of all major components to be installed at the 900-acre Port Fourchon site, including the 12 Baker Hughes NMBL™ modular liquefaction units, three full-containment LNG storage tanks, pre-treatment facilities, the simple-cycle gas turbine power generation facility, marine loading berths, piping systems, flare stacks, and all auxiliary and appurtenant service facilities.
Engineering Design Standards and Code Compliance — Documentation demonstrating that the engineering design of the Argent LNG terminal complies with all applicable federal design standards, including 49 CFR Part 193, NFPA 59A, and the seismic design requirements applicable to LNG facilities in the Gulf Coast region.
Process and Instrumentation Design — Engineering documentation describing the process flow design, instrumentation and control systems, safety instrumented systems, Tank and Storage Design — Engineering documentation for the three CB&I LNG storage tanks, each with a design capacity of 200,000 cubic meters.

Of the thirteen Resource Reports that comprise FERC’s environmental review framework for natural gas infrastructure, Resource Reports 11 and 13 occupy a unique position: they are the only two reports that are exclusively required for LNG facilities.
