Grants to 42 community partners help veterans, service members, families, and caregivers access life-changing support when and where they need it most
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Oct. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) announced today it has invested in 42 organizations across the country to address the most complex challenges facing America’s veterans and build a future where every warrior has the opportunity to live a life of purpose and meaning.
These grants continue WWP’s longstanding investments in organizations serving the nation’s military and veteran community. Since 2012, WWP™ has committed $484 million to 223 military and veterans service organizations, expanding the support and resources available to veterans and their families.
Together, we’re building a stronger network of support that helps warriors, families, and caregivers thrive today while advancing WWP’s long-term vision: curing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), ending veteran suicide, ending veteran homelessness, saving a million lives, and ensuring we bring every warrior home – mind, body, and soul.
“It should not be harder to come home from war than it is to go, but for so many veterans, it is,” said WWP CEO Walt Piatt. “We’re setting goals big enough to address the toughest problems facing warriors, and we know we won’t reach those goals alone. Partnerships are essential in turning vision into action. We believe in building a round table of support, where great organizations do what they do best and everyone has a role to play in what comes next.”
The needs of veterans and military families will continue to evolve as new solutions emerge and future generations face new challenges. WWP’s investments help ensure the veteran community has access to specialized expertise, proven resources, and innovative support now and in the years ahead.
WWP funds and partners with specialized veterans and military service organizations focused on the following areas:
